Let’s Honor Our Pastors!

As Sundays come and go throughout the year, they can sometimes begin to feel a little ordinary. But this Pastor Appreciation Month, we have an opportunity to pause and recognize something extraordinary.

Pastor Darrick and our staff pastors have left lasting marks on our lives. They are not simply a part of our church experience—they have helped shape who we are. What they do on Sundays impacts every other day of our week and echoes throughout the years of our lives.

Take a second to reflect. Can you think of a time when one of our pastors believed in you, mentored you, prayed with you, or walked beside you through a season of grief? Do you remember a phrase from a sermon, a handshake, or an encouraging smile that stayed with you? These moments may seem small, but they often leave a lifelong impact.

Most of the time, our pastors never know the full effect of their faithful service. Day after day, they continue doing God's work with humble hearts, seeing themselves as ordinary servants. This month, let's remind them that God has used their ordinary faithfulness to make an extraordinary difference.

Now through October 18, we invite you to participate in two meaningful ways:

• Write a note of appreciation. Bring a letter, card, or personal note expressing your thanks and encouragement. A table will be available each Sunday in the lounge to collect your messages.

• Give a special appreciation gift. If you feel led, you may also make a financial contribution online. Please include "Pastor Appreciation" in the memo so your gift can be designated appropriately.

During our service on Sunday, October 25, we will pray over our pastors and present them with these gifts and expressions of gratitude.

If you've been blessed by their teaching, prayers, or care, this is a great time to give back. Let's come together to bless our pastors and remind them how deeply they are valued and loved by our church family!
